Direct and easy flights
Great for families
With its direct and relatively short flights Dubai is easily accessible and perfect for winter sun, half term breaks or a luxury stopover for long haul flights. The combination of glorious weather, sophisticated hotels, long white sandy beaches and impeccable service makes Dubai a world class destination.
With its diverse activities it provides great entertainment for families; water parks, fantastic kids clubs, water sports, desert adventures and even the largest indoor ski area! Grownups are equally well catered for with lavish spas, championship golf courses, duty free shopping, local souks and fine dining experiences. For those looking for something a bit different and romantic we would highly recommend a couple of nights at Al Maha Resort – the height of luxury in the desert.
Once a sleepy fishing village Dubai is now a cosmopolitan city renowned for its glitz and glamour and is home to the some of the best hotels in the world. Most of the resorts are to be found either on Jumeirah Beach or Palm Island where you can soak up the sun on pristine beaches or beside stunning swimming pools. The standard of these hotels is second to none and the fierce competition between them ensures they are always striving to offer their guests the very best in hospitality. Amongst our favourite hotels are the One & Only Resorts (Royal Mirage & The Palm) with private beaches and a more intimate style, family friendly Jumeirah Beach and its sister hotel the Madinet Jumeriah with its meandering canals.
Dubai’s skyline is dominated by the tallest building in the world The Burj Khalifa and is also home to the world’s largest shopping mall which will keep even the most avid of shoppers busy!
Thanks to its international influence the food scene is impressive and exciting with Michelin starred and celebrity chef endorsed restaurants. At the right time of year you could even enjoy the richest day of the racing calendar – The Dubai Wold Cup.
Should the bustle of the city be too much there is always the chance to drive a short distance into the desert where the beautiful stark landscape offers up the chance to experience the shifting sands of the undulating dunes. A safari within the national park allows you the opportunity to sight the national wildlife; be it the Arabian oryx, falcon, caracel or striped hyena to name a few of its inhabitants.
Everything Dubai does, it does well which is why visitors return time and time again to be pampered in style!
Other nearby hotels that we recommend are The Armani Hotel in the Burj Khalifa, The Banyan Tree Al Wadi in the neighbouring Emirate of Ras al Khaimah, Zighy Bay in the Musandam Peninsula (see our Oman page) and Qasr al Sarab, Emirates Palace & Yas Viceroy in Abu Dhabi.
